As a leading contractor to U.S. federal government, URS’ instructional system designers, programmers, analysts, and instructors are experts in developing training programs for the Department of Defense. We employ a highly qualified team of professionals—many of whom are former military officers—with extensive experience designing classroom and computer-based learning solutions. Our instructors also provide classroom and field instruction, using a combination of in-person training, interactive tools, and 3-D simulation technology.
URS offers advanced simulation software capability along with the ability to produce a range of simulators that can exceed commercial and government requirements. Our simulation software includes state-of-the-art image generation, database engineering and production, modeling, and simulation integration.
To meet our client’s training and simulation needs, we provide a unique set of capabilities and depth of experience. We have designed and implemented instructional systems for submarine and surface naval forces, manned and unmanned military aircraft, and ground equipment.
For more than 20 years, we have served as the U.S. Army’s primary partner in rotary wing flight training at the U.S. Army Aviation Center for Excellence at Fort Rocker, Alabama. During this time, we have provided instruction to thousands of student pilots from the Army and Air Force, as well as NATO allies from more than 30 countries. In addition to training student pilots, we conduct graduate-level programs for experienced aviators.
URS also has created training curricula for unmanned aircraft systems operators, provided maintenance and operations training for military personnel overhauling multipurpose wheeled vehicles, and developed education programs for the U.S. Navy.
