URS provides comprehensive environmental services to public and private sector clients—from environmental assessments, permitting, compliance audits, and air quality studies to waste management, site remediation, decommissioning and closure.
Our work for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Defense, and state governments, has included the cleanup of hundreds of sites contaminated with hazardous, toxic and radioactive waste. In the private sector, URS maintains long-term Master Services Agreements and strategic alliances with multinational corporations. Under these contracts, we provide environmental, health, and safety services at multiple sites worldwide. We also are a leader in sustainability and climate change services for industrial and resource development.
Understanding a proposed project’s potential environmental and social impacts and regulatory constraints is critical to developing timely and cost-effective project plans. By anticipating and addressing these issues early on in project design, URS helps implement a permitting strategy, development schedule, and mitigation plans that enable our clients to efficiently meet their environmental and compliance needs. Throughout the project, we also provide expert regulatory negotiations to help resolve technical and external stakeholder issues while achieving the ultimate goal of maintaining project time and cost schedules, and compliance.
